Key words to describe each one according to wikipedia: black pride; "celebrate heritage and personal pride", gay pride; "positive stance against discrimination", asian pride (have to confess, didn't know that existed as a concept); "positive stance to being asian", and finally, white pride; "neo-nazi", white supremacist", racist".
If you had any doubts of what you may and may not be proud of. We checked wikipedia for you yesterday and the below screendump from a week ago was still accurate by then. Probably still is today.
In our experience, expressing pride in your origin and heritage as a white european is only really problematic in, well Europe and perhaps northern America. In Thailand? Not really problematic at all. Mexico? Tampoco. Funny how that goes. No one seems to really hate white people except for other white people. White people and wikipedia editors.
To us at ulbator, there is no shame in taking pride in your origins. Even if you're white. From our about page: "The name Ulbator stems from our Head Honcho's (Jonas) personal identity but at the same time makes reference to his cultural origin. Ulbator is the result of fusing a strong Norse heritage with the Latin heat of current dwellings, creating a spicy anarchic mix of a calculating mind with a vigorously pounding heart." Don't take the wikipedia stance, friends.
